AG Diligently Works to Repay Victims
The Indiana attorney general’s relatively new Identity Theft Unit has sent more than $415,000 back to consumers who were victims of the crime.
In the six months since the division was created, it has helped law enforcement make three arrests, Attorney General Steve Carter said Thursday in Fort Wayne.
The unit resolved 150 of the 280 complaints filed with it and has found some success in getting money back for consumers and fraudulent charges reversed, Carter said. Read more.
